Privacy Policy
- Your marketplace reports never leave your device; they are processed in your browser.
- We keep what we need to run your account: contact details, GST registrations, return totals, your corrections, copies of filed returns, filing status and purchases.
- We never sell your data or use it for advertising. You can ask us to access, correct or delete it.
1.What we collect
- Account details: your name, business name, email address, mobile number and a securely hashed password.
- GST details: the GSTINs you register, their filing frequency and the marketplaces you sell on.
- Return records: totals for each return you save (taxable value, tax, number of orders, issue counts), filing status, filing date and ARN if you enter one.
- Corrections: transactions you edit, exclude or add by hand on the Review step, including invoice numbers, amounts, places of supply and any buyer GSTIN you enter.
- Filed returns: when you mark a return as filed, a copy of its GSTR-1 tables, the GSTR-1 file and your list of changes, so you can view and download it later on any device. Deleting the return in GST Hero removes this copy and its corrections.
- Purchases: what you bought, amounts, GST invoices and the GSTIN shown on the invoice.
- Support messages you send us, and basic technical logs needed for security.
2.What we do not collect
Marketplace reports, and the transaction rows in them that you do not change, are read in your browser and are not sent to us.
3.How we use your data
- to provide your account, prepare returns and show your filing history;
- to process payments and issue GST invoices;
- to send service emails such as verification codes, receipts and due-date reminders (you can turn reminders off);
- to keep the service secure and fix problems;
- to meet legal obligations, such as keeping tax records.
We process your data on the basis of your consent and for the legitimate uses permitted by law.
5.Storage, security and retention
Data is stored on servers in India, encrypted in transit, and protected by access controls. We keep account data while your account is active. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires (currently at least 72 months), even if you delete your account.
6.Your rights
You can download a copy of your data and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. You can also ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, nominate someone to exercise your rights, and raise a complaint. Write to support@gsthero.in. We will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8.Children
GST Hero is meant for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18.
9.Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here with a new effective date, and notify you of significant changes by email or in the app.
